Cold-rolled non-grain oriented (CRNGO) magnetic sheets

Cold-rolled non-grain oriented (CRNGO) magnetic sheets

As it is obvious, CRNGO sheets do not contain oriented crystals in rolling direction and present more loss (per kg) and lower magnetic saturation level compared to CRGO ones. Hence, this type is mostly applied when the loss is not that much important (like low-size transformers and inductors) or while the flux cannot flow in a particular direction, then crystal orientation would not work properly (like rotary electrical machines consisting motors and generators with radial magnetic field and some induction furnace yokes).

Below table presents the specifications and main parameters for various grades of normal and low-loss CRGO magnetic core sheets.
